About Jexia Platform
What is Jexia?
Jexia is a developer platform with serverless infrastructure that provides integrated services to simplify developers' work on building API driven applications.
Jexia is not open source at the moment, but we do want to become open source in the future.
What is the value that Jexia offering?
Our purpose is to help developers code smarter, not harder. We aim to achieve this by removing the need to complete repetitive coding tasks like configuring and maintaining servers and databases. This will save you precious time, so you can take on projects that you normally couldn't or focus on the projects you've postponed because you've been too busy.
What technology that Jexia is using?
Our backend is done in Golang. Our WebApp in Angular 5 and our JS SDK in TypeScript.
What is a Jexia project?
A project is an isolated environment with a set of services such as datasets, filesets, a database and authentication and authorization mechanisms that can be used to develop multi-platform applications.
How many projects can I have in my account?
You can have as many projects as you want, but you can just have 3 projects running simultaneously in development mode. In order to have more projects in development mode, you can move projects to production mode.
Where and how much data can I store on the Jexia platform?
Files will be stored on AWS S3. There are different packages available for different storage sizes. There will be a fair use policy for the free tier.
Is there any deadline or time slot for my project to be in Development Mode?
No, you can take as much time as you need to develop your project in Jexia Platform. We know that this race is against the clock, so we are here to help develop your applications easier and faster than ever before.
What is the database manager behind Jexia's scenes?
Currently, we are using a combination of SQL and NoSQL database, which we have enriched with our own technology layer.
Privacy and security
How can I get ownership over my data, when I decide to leave the platform?
We assure you that you always will have ownership over your own data. This means that it will always be possible to export your data. We suggest that in order to get access to your data you make a GET requests to your datasets before you delete your account
What happens to my data when I delete my account?
When you delete your account, all your data will be deleted with it. No backups are created so it will not be possible to recover your data.
How is my data secured?
Your data is stored in an isolated environment where only the project owner will have access to the data by SSL encrypted connection.
Security is by nature a part of our company culture, we focus on providing a secure environment that goes above and beyond industry security standards and guidelines.
How is data privacy or security being handled in Jexia?
We keep all your data private and secure in accordance with the EU's General Data Protection Regulation.
Pricing and Account
What does “free” exactly mean?
You can use all Jexia Platform's services & features for free. In the free tier, your resources will be limited to 3 concurrent connections, 10 API requests per second, 10MB payload size and 100MB database storage.
When should I upgrade to a higher tier and which tier should I choose?
You should upgrade to a higher tier when you need more resources than your current tier offers. There are different tiers for different levels of usages. Choose the tier that suits your needs. Check them on our Pricing page.
Are there storage and bandwidth limits?
Every tier has its own storage and bandwidth limits. If you need more storage and/or bandwidth than your current tier allows, you can upgrade to a higher tier.
What happens if I cross the limits?
You won't be able to cross the limits as we will automatically restrict you. You will receive a notification email from us when you're nearing the limits of your tier.
Can I pay only for certain resources?
No, at the moment you cannot pay for certain resources.
Will my paid subscription renew automatically each month?
When you upgrade from the free tier to paid tier, or from one paid tier to another paid tier, each month you will be automatically billed the most recent tier you upgraded to.
What payment options can I use?
For the moment, we only provide the payment method by credit card.
What happens if my credit card payment is late or being withdrawn?
Your project will be frozen. If after a month the bill is still not being paid, your project will be changed automatically to the free tier and the excess data of the paid project will be lost.
How do I cancel a paid tier?
If you want to cancel your paid tier, you have to go to our Support Ticketing System in the Jexia Platform and send us a message. You only need to send your project ID (Example: 0743f9d0-cecf-4542-acae-26e70de69c52After) and say that you wish to cancel it.
After that, we will update our Billing System and your paid tier will revert to the free tier.
